I got a call from Ron's Taxidermy to inform me I could come and pick up my Turkey. Why Sheila loves such momentos is beyond me, but I thank God for her and enjoy her enthusiasm to hang such things all over our house. She jumped in the car with me to drive over to Union and pick the bird up. Sheila loves Ron (of course, she loves everyone) and when he told us the "double-beard" turkey scored 86.5 - putting it in contention for the largest one killed in Michigan last year - she did a little dance.
So the bird is now on a wall in our living room and Sheila is taking pictures. Hunting is fun; Sheila is more fun.

Dad! Awesome Bird! I can't wait to see it when we come down there! You're the best hunter I know - other than Aaron, but you taught him how, so I guess that counts for something.

That bird is SICK! Nice work Dad. I can't wait to see it as well. And it's true, you are the best hunter I know by far. The countless memories I have of our times together hunting and the things you taught me have had a HUGE impact on my life. You are a great Dad. Easily the best one I know.
-Remember when I used to say, "I am AWESOME!" - Amber's comment made me want to say that again. haha

That is incredible. He's beautiful! It is by far the biggest turkey I've ever seen. Nice work.
