1 John 3:10 makes it pretty easy to figure out which people we should admire, emulate and trust.
"Here's how you tell the difference between God's children and the Devil's children: The one who won't practice righteous ways isn't from God, nor is the one who won't love brother or sister. A simple test."
At our last Men's Retreat hundreds of guys make commitments to practice righteous ways. We put our vows on a huge cross as a sign of our determination to keep doing the next right thing. Ted was there with me, declaring his commitment to live for Christ.
He is still living strong. I'm proud of him. He is still serving Christ...though we made our commitments months ago.
I wonder how the rest of the guys are doing...

Yes, I remember the retreat. It was a great time of growth and you and the other leaders challenging me, like always.... At the retreat, I made the commitment to read the Word daily. Although sometimes I have failed, I have made significant strides in reading the Word. Old Testaments books that seemed irrelevant because I did not read the Bible enough, now are coming alive and making me appreciate what Jesus came to fulfill, not abolish.. New Testament books that seemed like " I've already heard this story" are taking new meanings..
Thank you Mark, for your awesome leadership!! Lisa and I love and cherish you greatly!

Let me just say this guy has been ripping it up at Lifeline. Every time he speaks he hits it out of the park. And he has been so encouraging to me as I've shared with our Oasis students. God is going to continue to do great things through him.
