What do you imagine He meant when Jesus said He would teach us how to catch men?
Presentation matters.
How you deliver your offer matters.
Location matters.
Where you deliver your offer matters.
Time matters.
When you deliver your offer matters.
The lure you choose matters.
What you offer matters.
Preparation matters. Your expectation impacts your results.
Do you actually expect a "catch?"
Kim Volheim has been working beside me "fishing for men" for two decades. His smile is even bigger when he sees men caught up in Christ. It's a privilege for me to fish beside men like Kim, because men like Kim are willing to do the work that brings in the catch.
No matter how difficult this may be, faithful and prayerful effort means people are led to Jesus.
So invite some friends to join you this weekend at GCC...and together we'll lead them to Jesus.
John 1:40-42 - Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard John's witness and followed Jesus. The first thing he did after finding where Jesus lived was find his own brother, Simon, telling him, "We've found the Messiah" (that is, "Christ"). He immediately led him to Jesus.
Funny - I had a conversation with Kim yesterday before Journey classes about this very aspect of his gifting. As usual, my senior pastor reveals the very best about the people of GCC!

Mark,
I started serving in the IMAG ministry an unbelievable two plus years ago. Kim has been a shining example of what it means to be plugged into his gifts at GCC. His skill as a director is impressive and leaves me in awe. I hope to be able to serve as a director at some point in the future at GCC and under Kim's guidance I am sure that will be possible.
I thought you should know that Kim is more than a director. He is a friend. I am continuously impressed by your staff and with the incredible heart they have for Christ. Now that GCC is growing in Elkhart and will soon be growing in other communities, the IMAG team has felt the pressure to be at its best. All of us want the experience at the Elkhart site to be just as awesome as it is at the GCC campus. Kim is doing a phenomenal job at leading the IMAG team. Due in part to nothing less than his unwavering dedication, the team has quickly adapted to the changes that are making the quality of the Elkhart service what it is.
Keep up the good work and never let your staff forget they have touched many lives. My life would not be what it is without Kim, the rest of your staff, and yourself. God Bless and keep up the Great Work!!!
