Training for his upcoming IronMan race, Chad had to adjust his schedule to run the Chicago Marathon last weekend. For months he'd been planning to run a marathon in Indianapolis, but when he discovered the Men's Retreat was on the Indy race weekend he dropped out of the Indy race and shifted to Chicago. He did all that because he was determined to join me at the Men's Retreat.
Great men train hard, stay on track, and focus. And great men adjust their plans to leverage new information and new opportunities for great gains. Such flexibility is a sign of great strength. It's also a sign of courageous resolve.
Progress is often the consequence of clarity and tenacity; it is achieved when good goals are doggedly pursued, no matter how challenging your path toward success may be.
I'm guessing every guy on the Men's Retreat had to adjust something, change plans or shift their schedules to be here. I'm praying they gain ground as a result.
I'm sure they will.
1 Corinthians 9:25 - All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You're after one that's gold eternally.
