Hundreds of men pondered God's call on their lives tonight. Our opening session focused on the remarkable difference Jesus makes. He calms storms in us and around us. He calls and He commissions.
Jesus changes everything.
I asked the guys to consider how they would be different four years from now....if they follow Jesus and do what He says.
How about you?
If you followed Jesus, without reservation, for the next four years...how would you be different?
Mark 5:15-20 - They came to Jesus and saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons. The man was sitting there dressed and in his right mind. The people were frightened. Those who saw this told what had happened to the demon-possessed man and the pigs. Then the people began to beg Jesus to leave their territory. As Jesus stepped into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged him, “Let me stay with you.” But Jesus would not allow it. Instead, he told the man, “Go home to your family, and tell them how much the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been to you.” So the man left. He began to tell how much Jesus had done for him in the Ten Cities. Everyone was amazed.
It's Wednesday. The third day Of my 4 year journey. I was inspired by your sermon. And inspired by Dale and Jim Miller. And inspired by many of the men I shared my weekend with. It was a good experience. But I realise today That being a christian is not all about good experiences. It's also about bad experiences to. Seeking God through the worse times and praying for those who have done bad things to others. Because were all God's children. I have to be God's man every where I am. I have to dig deep down in the pit of my soul and find mercy for those who prey on innocent lives.
