I was asked, "Why do you go to the Men's Retreat?"
Here's why...
1. I get time with men taking steps toward Christ. How often do I get to sit and talk with a guy like Dan Adams? How often do I get to connect with men like Dan? Not often enough...
2. I get to watch God work. Men are listening to God's Word. Men are praying about their next steps. Men are responding to God's Spirit and I get to watch from a front row seat.
3. When else do I get us use illustrations uniquely meaningful to "Y Chromosome" carriers?
4. I need time in the shadow of the Cross with men like me, on the journey beside me.
5. The worship enriches my soul and deepens my love for God.
6. Men challenge me to new heights. I'm a better man because I'm at the Men's Retreat.
There are more reasons, but you get the idea. The Men's Retreat helps me. It helps us all.
I'm back home now, and I'm stronger than I was when I left. I'm glad I went and I'm looking forward to the Men's Retreat next fall.
