Thinking about our weekend services firing up in a few short hours, I had a flashback to the early days of GCC. My wife was the one faithfully serving Christ beside me in those days.
Sheila was there at the beginning.
From that time to this, she has been my companion, wife and cohort. She is my best friend. She stood beside me to raise our babies, build a family and lead the ministry.
When we started GCC she said, "I'll take the little people and you take the big people." That's still how we do it today. Every weekend for 22 years she has worked in GCC's children's ministry and I've worked with adults in our weekend services.
Yesterday she was pheasant hunting with me.
Before long she'll be all dressed up and ready for more formal weekend affairs.
Either way, I'm with her.
I'm in love.
Ecclesiastes 9:9-10 - Life is short, and you love your wife, so enjoy being with her. This is what you are supposed to do as you struggle through life on this earth. Work hard at whatever you do.
I love it! You both are special people to each other and us. I have memories of Joe and me walking many miles of creek together when he used to trap. I appreciated the verse too. Love you both, Joann

Way to go Sheila! Awesome! A woman after my own passions...LOL. There aren't too many of us who actually enjoy hunting--or is it maybe more just being in God's great outdoors? (Must admit I hunt mainly with a camera these days, tho.) Accolades to the photographer and his choice of subjects, too. ;-) We're glad you're doing life together.
