Great Financial News...

RMB Journey blog 1

Susan Frucci (brilliant staff accountant at GCC) just gave me the report on our most recent Financial Peace University graduates. The news is so good I've got to share it.

After 13 weeks of working through the class, we gathered three pieces of information and compared it to the data we gathered 13 weeks earlier.

1. How many credit cards do you have?
2. How much debt do you currently have (excluding your mortgage)?
3. How much do you have in an emergency fund?

The results will astound you.

Susan said, "Out of 29 households, we cut up 87 credit cards, increased our emergency funds by $45,789.00, and paid off $181,765.00 worth of debt."

Even in this economy, people who get serious about responsible living can make enormous strides. Some sold possession to pay off debt. Others got extra jobs. All took steps to save, budget, invest and pay off debt in very practical ways.

You can start taking steps toward freedom too. I hope you'll join me on the journey.

Romans 13:8  -  "Pay all your debts except the debt of love for others--never finish paying that! For if you love them, you will be obeying all of God's laws, fulfilling all his requirements."
