This afternoon I looked up from my book, glanced out the window, and saw this buck.
We have a little woods behind our house and this impressive beast had wandered out into the open.
Since last weekend was opening weekend of the shotgun hunting season, I put on my "Hunter Orange" vest and sat there on my sofa pretending I was hunting.
It was great.
I kept watching this wild animal until he meandered his way back into the woods and out of sight....but not before I took his picture.
I figured you'd want to see him too.
Psalm 8:1-9
O Lord our God, the majesty and glory of your name fills all the earth and overflows the heavens. You have taught the little children to praise you perfectly. May their example shame and silence your enemies!
When I look up into the night skies and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you have made—I cannot understand how you can bother with mere puny man, to pay any attention to him!
And yet you have made him only a little lower than the angels and placed a crown of glory and honor upon his head. You have put him in charge of everything you made; everything is put under his authority: all sheep and oxen, and wild animals too, the birds and fish, and all the life in the sea.
O Jehovah, our Lord, the majesty and glory of your name fills the earth.
That is just silly. How you did not run outside and take care of him, I have no idea. You have too much restraint. I think he would have looked really nice next to your elk. The neck on this guy is so swollen...the rut is on...

Mark, while we've never met, I have stolen--I mean, learned from you for years. Anyone who loves/serves Christ & his Bride as much as you and lets a young buck become an old one is clearly in the center of God's will. Thank you for all you do and all you've done for me.
