Happy Thanksgiving!
We finished our annual Thanksgiving morning hunt and photographed ourselves for your viewing pleasure. No deer, but some great memories were harvested today.
We have several Thanksgiving family traditions. Deer hunting is just one.
So, what's one thing you do every Thanksgiving?
Got a family tradition to share?
Psalm 100:1-5 - Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
We're (Tom,Diana,Kim & Kristi) are glad you enjoyed your hunting adventure this morning!
My identical twin sister and I were born on Thanksgiving Day. However, our birthday didn't fall on Thanksgiving this year. Our families always get together when it does though!

What a great picture of you and your "sons" --a handsome lot, to be sure! Even though you guys are trying to be invisible in the camo...the orange, I gotta say, kinda counters that affect. Congrats to the deer on avoiding your stealthness this year.
Here's to awesome Thanksmases past and future....Love you so much dear brother!

After lunch, we read a Thanksgiving Prayer by Peter Marshall and then go around the table talking about what we're grateful for.
And then in the evening (after naps and 2nd servings of the food), we put up the Christ-mas tree.

Other than sharing what we are thankful for it is a tradition to watch It's a Wonderful Life and The Santa Clause on T-day. No football!!!! We don't hunt (not against just don't) so we pretty much just take it easy. However, I was able to get out on my bicycle for 19 miles (before eating) :)

I know you will appreciate this one...
My father and brother are hunters as well and many a Thanksgiving morning they would head out to the farm we have in LaPorte County and climb into their treestands. I recall one year my mom crying because they were late for the Thanksgiving feast my Grandmother prepared. My brother kissed my mom on the cheek and said "But Mom, EVERY meal I have with you is Thanksgiving"
This year my dad did not go hunting Thanksgiving morning, but it was such a beautiful day we took a drive and walked the fields in our orange hats :)
