Real Ideas Conference 2009

I really like Matthew Hartsfield.

Sheila and I spent the last few days working with Matthew and his team at Van Dyke United Methodist Church in Tampa. He let me teach a couple of "Real Ideas Conference" sessions and I helped him with some Q & A during his workshops.

Here's one take-away...

Matthew says his staff functions best when it's loaded with HOT staff members.

What's HOT?

     H = Humble
     O = Open
     T = Teachable

Humble, open and teachable comrades make ministry a joy.

Psalm 149:4  -  The Lord is pleased with his people, and he gives victory to those who are humble.

Mark, we loved having you and Sheila in Tampa for the Real Ideas Conference. You were awesome and everyone at Van Dyke Church loves you! Thanks for bringing inspiration, laughter and real ideas to pastors, staff and volunteers from so many different churches.
