Somewhere outside the tiny Utah town of Kanob I saw these Mule deer. I thought you'd like to see them too.
Mule deer have remarkable hearing (check out those "mule-like" ears), a keen sense of smell and great eyesight (though they don't see colors the way humans do).
These deer didn't know I was watching them, but the instant the stick I threw crashed into the brush, their ears pivoted forward and their eyes searched for the source of the sound. As they tried to assess the threat-level I took this picture.
The sun was had already set behind the mountain so I was fortunate to capture this moment. It made me think: "How attentive am I to danger? Do I look to the Lord for help when I'm threatened?"
How about you? Are you looking to the Lord for help? Are your friends?
Psalm 25:15 - I look to the Lord for help at all times, and he rescues me from danger.
