What? DC vs Japan?
How is that fair?
What chance does Japan have?
Not much.
Lou Holtz called DC several months ago and asked if he would be on the Notre Dame Football Legends Team for a game in the 55,000 seat Tokyo Dome on Saturday, July 25th. Apparently Japan has a professional football league and someone over there gave in to the notion that Japan's professional All-Star players should play a game against America's guys. Sounds like someone had a little too much Saki.
Personally, I think this was a very bad idea, hatched in the brain of some Japanese marketing/promotions guru who only had to put the plan together...but won't have to actually face DC on the playing field. I'm sure Japanese running backs are increasingly unhappy as the days before the game pass like grains of sand through an hourglass. They know what's coming.
The game will be televised in the U.S.A., but not until Monday night, August 10th.
Are you ready for some football?
Daniel 11:22 - He'll come in like a steamroller, flattening the opposition.
