After lunch I hopped in a car and drove back to the Granger campus for the closing ceremonies of our SpringHill Day Camp. I made it just in time to grab a seat for the presentation. April (of SpringHill fame) asked me to say a few words, so I jumped up and said, "Way to go SpringHill!" Everyone cheered.
We had 158 registered children participating in our camp at GCC this year. Scores of our volunteers made the SpringHill crew feel welcome. Several hosted SpringHill counselors in their homes for the entire week of camp. It was an awesome ministry and I loved partnering with SpringHill to pull it off.
I took more than 300 photos during the presentation. It was GREAT!
Anyone out there want us to offer another Day Camp with SpringHill at GCC next summer? That seems like it would be a great idea to me! What do you think?

I was thrilled with what SpringHill offered our families. The program was top notch. The staff was dialed in and focused on loving and impacting the kids. I loved that every day I would pick up Lauren, she didn't want to go home. Good sign! Would love to see us partner with them again next year!

Absolutely! As one of the GCC volunteers, I had a chance to watch the Spring Hill crew up close and personal. The passion they had for Jesus and our kids was truly a blessing to see.
When I asked kids if they wanted to come back next year, the answer was always an enthusiastic "YES"! I sure wouldn't want to have to be the one to tell them they can't.

For the record...it is Saturday night and I am reading your blog! I occasionally break my own rules when it comes to my kids. Thanks for taking the photo and sharing it.

Well, the word from the SpringHill staff is that Granger HAS to be on our line-up next year! We left a week with your church family feeling incredibly appreciated, supported and blessed. It was great to work alongside all of you and watch the lives of kids change because of the message of Jesus. We experienced great laughs and also breath-taking moments with your kids.
Thanks for being a church that gets outreach has a collective servant's heart. We couldn't have been more impressed or more thankful!
We are an Army of Love...
