Laura Yoder volunteers on the weekends in one of our "behind the scenes" ministries, and she's a Rock Star.
She came to GCC (after watching our services on-line) and fell in love with the church. She launched into the Jesus Way and began serving HIM with radical devotion. Her passion for Christ compelled her to find a way to plug-in and work.
Laura had experience operating a camera, but that's not what really motivated her to pick up the "floor remote" camera responsibilities on the weekends. What really inspired her to serve on the I-MAG team was her experience with our on-line worship. She knew she probably would have missed her faith journey if no one had captured the services and put them on-line for her to watch. Someone did that for her, so for the last two years, she's been operating the floor camera for thousands of our on-line worshippers.
Not only that, but Laura is one of our wonderful group facilitators. She's always encouraging, always connecting with others and always leading the Jesus Way.
I couldn't be more proud of her.
Nehemiah 13:14 - Remember me, O my God, for this. Don't ever forget the devoted work I have done for The Temple of God and its worship.
She IS a rock star! I love who she is so much. She's always looking for ways to bring others into whatever setting she's in - for a way to make people feel better for having spent time with her. I'm a better friend because of her investment in our relationship, and watching her take ownership of her (many) ministries has been inspiring. AND that's a really pretty picture of her. This whole post has made my night!

Mark,
Thanks for bringing this young lady to the attention of the world. She's an inspiration to so many-always inviting people to join "on mission". Laura is an encourager to so many, offering her time so that people can experience this Jesus we love. What a blessing to the I-Mag team and those who are able to experience the services because of her time and talent. Laura and her teammates are absolutely awesome.
Laura, thank you!!
