Is There Something You Need to Say? from Granger Community Church on Vimeo.
I wrote a blog about my mother. My friends Adam Tarwacki and Dustin Maust created this video-version for the congregation to experience last weekend. I thought it might help you consider the words you'll speak to your parents in the days ahead.
Ephesians 6:1-3 - Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
Love this so much!! Our mom is a good woman. She loves Jesus and us. I'm so glad you could encourage her on one of her good days.
Glad you are my brother.

Really enjoyed the video Mark. Marilyn's mother just passed away earlier tis month from alzheimers. She was a loving, wonderful, church going women. After 92 years, she was tired and ready. We are going to Chicago tomorrow for a memorial service. your video is so timely.

Very touching, I have been in the hospital all week with my Mother and my father, for two seperate ailments. Both are healing now but I do appreciate you sharing with us about your Love for your Mother. And I keep them all in my prayers now...
Thanks Mark

I remember crying through this video when it was played during the service back in 2011. My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2008. He has progressed, and most days doesn't know who my mother is (his wife of 55 years), who I am, or my kids, who have seen him almost daily for the past 6 years. We were fortunate enough to have them move across the street from us then. I am so thankful for the time we have had with him. It has been so hard for all of us, watching this strong, brilliant man become more and more disoriented and helpless. It is comforting to know that he will be with Jesus soon and his confusion will have ended. As I lay awake, as I often do these nights, I thought about this video, and had to watch it.Thank you for sharing it.
