- Black Bear Sow: 500mm f/4 @ 1/40, ISO 1000, Monopod -
As I was backing away from Momma bear, I got some space between us and she sat down. She seemed quite happy about my retreat (which was my responsibility, since you're not supposed to disturb the bears in a National Park), so she plopped down and glanced back at me as I moved away.
I put a few more feet between us, and with the support of my monopod I was able to get a much better picture of Momma bear. It's amazing to see the difference a little support makes!
Which leads me to our upcoming "Experiencing God" journey. We're going to support each other every step of the way, and the difference a little support makes is tremendous. We'll talk together, listen to each other, pray for one another and strengthen those traveling beside us through the next few months. If you aren't registered for the journey, I'm praying you'll jump on board and offer your support as we take steps to experience a "good life."
"Experiencing God" begins next week!
Ecclesiastes 8:12-13 - Even though a person sins and gets by with it hundreds of times throughout a long life, I'm still convinced that the good life is reserved for the person who fears God, who lives reverently in his presence, and that the evil person will not experience a "good" life. No matter how many days he lives, they'll all be as flat and colorless as a shadow—because he doesn't fear God.
Hey dear brother -- remember when we were little and mom said "Don't get to close to bears."
Oh wait, I guess she just told that to Matt and me!!!!!!
