The auditorium is packed with people. So many came to study James tonight that we actually ran out of tables and people are sitting in circles holding their Bibles on their laps.
Reflecting on the text, I heard Dr. Bob say this: "I don't want to be double-minded. I want to commit myself to God: spirit, soul and body."
"Learning who God really is and what he is truly like - and reminding ourselves of it regularly - is key to it all. Without that we will be double-minded, swept this way one minute and that way the next. We'll just be another wave. With it, you will have a settled character. Wisdom. Patience. Faith."

James 1:5-8 - If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
