Just so you know, this is a sure sign; it's convincing evidence for those unimpressed by the dazzling display of color now seen in every midwestern woods. Fall has officially arrived. The bucks are on the hunt, willing to leave their mysterious hiding places and step out of seclusion as they roam, searching for does.
Maybe you'll see some bucks if you watch for them along the edges of fields, just after sunrise and just before sunset for the next several weeks.
I had my camera at the opportune time to take this picture this evening. I'm glad. It's fun sharing the impressive pose this buck offered me. He is fantastic.
I absolutely love this time of year.

Dad! AMAZING shot! It might be one of my favorites ever! Love you!

Where was this pic taken? This is not a buck you see everyday.

Well, the same thing happened with me again. Down by my neighborhood stream the doe and her two fawns reappeared, were "willing to leave their mysterious hiding places and step out of seclusion as they roam". No buck in sight. The doe and fawns looked disheveled and their fur was matted down as they had gotten soaked in a pouring rainstorm.
