The final count is in. This weekend 189 of the 446 who have passed through the waters baptism at Granger Community Church this year went public with their faith.
Baptism is a serious matter and cause for a joyous celebration, because all disciples of Jesus are called to do more than enjoy a special relationship with Jesus. We are also called to engage a special task for Jesus. We're invited to join God in God's work. Our relationship with Christ is for a purpose and all those baptized have not only started on "their way," they've started on "The Jesus Way."
I took a few pictures during the baptisms and I'm posting a few of the few, which means you get very few. Even so, I hope you enjoy this brief glimpse into the sacramental experience of a few of our friends at GCC.
Acts 8:12 - When Philip told them the Good News about the kingdom of God and the power of Jesus Christ, men and women believed and were baptized.
