I had a great day today.
I had a super time with Tim during lunch; we were planning great things.
I dreamed with Butch for a while; we're determined to leverage the arts well...and honor the artists while we're at it.
I sat with Rob, enjoying stories about his family.
I got with Mark and he handed me the final draft of his next book.
Jeff poured out his heart, inspiring me with stories about his love for his family.
I walked with Sheila. We try to walk an hour every day. It may be the best hour in my day.
I mowed.
I wrote a portion of my sermon.
I talked with Dustin about radio slaves for our cameras; what works and what doesn't.
I spoke with my friend Chad; I admire him; he's a business guy living for Jesus. I'm better because he serves with me us at GCC.
I prayed for my staff...including Raj and our teammates in India. I looked at this photo of my daughter Amber, Raj and me. I felt conviction.
As I prayed for Raj I was impressed to consider the intentions of my heart. I thought, "When Raj met Jesus, he gave his life to Jesus. What did I do? Did I ask Jesus to come into my heart, and into my life? Or did I give my life to Jesus, and offer my life as a 'living sacrifice,' determining I would live all of my life for Christ?"
Which was it? Did I add Jesus to my life, or give my life to Jesus?
How about you?
When you met Jesus, what did you do?
Romans 12:1-2 - So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
