I said this on the weekend.
I believe it.
"Faith is not when we abandon reality and avoid the cares of the world; faith is when we look reality square in the face. Accepting what is real, we recognize there is a deeper Truth beneath that truth. There's a greater Truth that transcends that truth--that God cares, that God has a plan. God cares about your life, your future, your fortune. God cares about your dreams. God made you with a purpose, on purpose, for a purpose, and God is with you."
2 Corinthians 13:5 - Examine yourselves to see whether you are living in faith. Test yourselves.
Thank you for this word on faith. I've found that, too often, many in the church try to separate faith and reality. I wonder if that is what often plays a role in how so many of our churches and pastors ignore "reality" and simply avoid engaging in the realm of reality.

Sometimes the hardest decisions to make are those that we want to avoid at all costs. Anyone who knows you understands that you'd never take this type of action unless absolutely necessary. I will pray for those who have been directed to a new path. Thank you for having the courage to do what must be done.
