I was previously unable to comprehend the bizarre behavior, and effusive gushing, of giddy grandparents lauding their own progeny. Now I've come to a profound and liberating understanding of "grandchild hype." Once inscrutable - at one time unknowable - their manner is now my own.
Today I'm joining the ranks of the obnoxious.
Not only am I yielding the field, I'm joining the other side, moving from the crowd of the bored and bothered to become a soldier in the army of proud-and-loud grandparents.
As you look at this fine photo of my 20-week-old grandchild (somewhat obscured by my daughter Amber) you'll understand my soaring and garrulous celebration.
Isn't this baby a little cutie?
Proverbs 17:6 - Grandchildren are the crown of grandparents, and parents are the glory of their children.
Amber is the perfect mom and you are the perfect grandfather. Thanks for sharing! You can't possibly be to gushy about about your grandchildren if I'm the one listening...I'm going to love them and pray for them, too! Grandblessings are absolutely the best!

God has opened your eyes to a new world, I pray God opens my eyes and many others to many new things, that are already all about us. Blessings to the new parents and grandparents. I know how much I love my grandchildren, its indescribable ....
2 Kings 6:17
And Elisha prayed, and said, "Lord, I pray, open his eyes that
he may see." Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man,
and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and
chariots of fire all around Elisha.
