It's a beautiful day to meet with friends for worship.
The services are great. Dan sings about "Peace, Love and Understanding," I'm offering biblical help for everyone who feels deeply about the issues of our day.
Pick a service. Pick up a friend. Come and take your next step toward Christ.
Like I said, "It's a beautiful day..."
Psalm 107:31-32 - You should praise the Lord for his love and for the wonderful things he does for all of us. Honor the Lord when you and your leaders meet to worship.
Mark: I have a question for you regarding your sermon this past weekend. I, like most people, am VERY opinionated about various political and social issues, but I have, over time, been able to allow the importance of my stand on those issues diminish over time. At this point in my life, I am fairly confident that the way that I diplomatically voice my opinions would not become a barrier between me and friends that I am trying to influence for Christ.
But, what I have found is that I am intolerant of intolerance. I lack patience and respect for those who, like you described, hold tightly to their frivolous opinions. So my question for you is...How do I get past that? What can I do to help me accept the strong opinions of others?
