Last weekend was remarkable. Now I've got two steps for you to consider. I hope you'll take both of them.
1. More than a thousand of us will meet tomorrow night for the first night of our final three-week Journey-Bible Class session. After the May classes we begin our summer break. Pick a class. Sign up. Show up. Everyone can participate.
The Middle and High School students are studying downstairs in the Great Room.
The Adult Classes are:
Exodus / Ron Vandergriend
Spiritual Practices: Solitude / Jason Miller
Discover Your S.H.A.P.E. / Mark Waltz
Our children (infants through 5th Grade) are downstairs doing Bible study too!
2. This weekend I'm encouraging you to bring a friend and come to one of the five services. On the same weekend the President of the United States speaks at Notre Dame, I'll launch our new series with "A Letter to the President." Whether you attend at the Elkhart campus or the Granger campus, I'm praying God will do two things for you:
a. Help you understand biblical principles about speaking truth to power...
b. Let you know what your pastor is writing to the President of the United States.
Can you do those two things?
One will develop your knowledge of the Bible and give you a personal growth plan for May. The other will kindle your passion, invigorate your faith and challenge your thinking about being salt and light in the world.

What an absolutely wonderful weekend!! Not only did I attend the Core 101 class Saturday, which was fantastic!!; but your letter to the president, was amazing!! I learned sooo much about GCC and its mission and beliefs, I am fired up!!! And then your delivery of your letter Sunday, was not only humorous, but it was very very touching, and your presentation of words, hit the "nail on the head"! I was deeply moved! You are truly a disciple of the Lord, Mark; a truly great teacher and leader!!!! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART for all you've done for this community! God bless you ten-fold!(loved the pictures of Aaron and Tracy, what a beautiful couple! Now for the baby pictures soon to come, PAPA!!)(I know I can't wait, both daughters, 6wks. apart, a boy and a girl!! Excited Grandma!!!!)
