After being with my granddaughter for a couple of days I'm prepared to say I'm really getting into this "Grandpa" thing. I handed Ruby back to Amber for a few minutes while we were at Granny's 80th Birthday Party - just so I could take this picture. Then I asked if I could hold her baby again.
I'm enjoying my "Grandpa" role - and since Angela is due in March - I'll have another grandchild to hold before you know it. Though I'm impatient I'm guessing Angela is more so. Expectant moms everywhere may wonder why God makes pregnancies last so long, but I have a theory.
I think God puts women through so many months of pregnancy because He's looking out for grandparents like me. He knows, by the time Angela carries her baby for nine whole months, she'll be ready for some help. So if I ask politely, maybe she'll let me hold her baby for a while.
I can't wait....but I will.
Psalm 127:3-4 - Children too are a gift from the LORD, the fruit of the womb, a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children born in one's youth.
Mark,
This is really an amazing photo of Amber and Ruby! I love the way they are both smiling but looking two different ways. You are gifted! Blessings,
