It is wonderful to have praying Elders, I still remember whenever I went to my Grandmothers house I would always look at here big desk and If I saw my picture uner the Glass I knew she was still praying for me. That was one thing that always kept me going!!! I am sure she prayed for many others but if your picture was there it was an extra special prayer she said.

What a beautiful picture. I am sure Lydia is feeling the love that is pouring down on her and it is warming her little body and giving her strength. Our prayers are with you all and with your little bundle of joy.

Dear Mark, I chanced on your blog and was really moved by the photos of Lydia. My own daughter was born at 29 week and also weighed in at 2 pounds 11. She experienced a number of serious complications and yet, with excellent medical care and the prayers of many, many people, she is now a happy, healthy one year old.
It was such a difficult time for all of us (including Grannies and Grandpas), but God kept us 'together' and worked amazingly in the life of Josie Grace.
I'm praying that Lydia will continue to grow as if she was still in the womb, that her parents will know the comfort of God's people as they experince a rollercoaster of emotions and that you and your wife will be able to discern what they need. I hope that makes some sense. Elizabeth
ps. I've written Josie's story and, if you feel it would encourage you to read what God has done in the life of a baby just like Lydia, you can see it at http://viewfromtheplaypen.wordpress.com/about/sweetiepies-story/
