Proverbs 4:3-5 - When I was a boy at my father's knee, the pride and joy of my mother, he would sit me down and drill me: "Take this to heart. Do what I tell you - live! Sell everything and buy wisdom!"
When you read the Bible a bit you discover that wisdom is not the the sole possession of old men. Old men dream dreams and young men see visions, but that doesn't mean young men can't dream dreams or old men can't see visions. Much of what God offers God offers us all: forgiveness, peace, purpose, true friends - even wisdom to know the Way. You don't have to be old in years to be wise, but what a tragedy to be unwise when you are old!
Today I don't want to forget wisdom's Source. I don't want to become older without becoming wiser. So, I'm joining the Psalmist who cried, "Be blessed, God; train me in your ways of wise living!" I don't want to fail my family, my friends or my church during these days of trial and challenge.
Help me O God. I need your wisdom today.
Acts 2:17 - "In the last days," God says, "I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."
Good stuff Pastor Beeson
Wisdom strengthens decerment. But decerment being used to gaze is like a tool being use for the wrong purpose. This is a lesson God has taught me this pass week. All thanks to him!
