A cow elk has one calf in the early summer and it's able to stand by the time it's 20 minutes old. Unlike the bulls, cows bark when they sense danger and they mew to keep track of one another.
I spent a lot of time last week trying to find and photograph bulls. But I really like this picture of a lone cow, and I thought you might appreciate it too.
