Rob Wegner is taking GCC to the world. That's his official "job" and he's getting it done. I'm so proud of him I hardly know what to say. He's an awesome friend, great leader and brilliant thinker.
You can have the graphic displayed behind him here.
A few things Rob said this morning at the AND Conference follow:
- Why not here? Why not now?
- GCC went from a missional "outpost" to a "mega-church."
- The primal expression of the church is "church as movement."
- Last weekend 957 newly planted churches with more than 120,000 people in attendance, partnered with us to engage the mission of the Kingdom in India.
- By 2016 we're dreaming GCC will be: 300 essential churches gathering locally and 1700 essential churches working internationally.
- I thought "mega-church" was the summit, but it's actually base-camp!
- Intercept every virus.
- Are "Attractional" and "Missional" mutually exclusive or can they exist together?
- We want to be the "Sumo/Ninja church" = both sturdy and swift!
Philippians 1:11 - Live a lover's life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.
Love this! Plus great graphic.
