I headed downtown South Bend on Saturday morning. Jack Elston (Volunteer Coordinator for the 747 Project) was intending to honor all the folks working at the Robert L. Miller Veterans Center: aka "Project 747." I snapped this photo of those still hanging around after lunch.

Here's the truth; getting kids involved in "mission" leads to a lifetime on mission.
Les Rassi (sunglasses in the plaid shirt) has been a hero at 747 South Michigan Street. His experience and "knowledge of all things construction," has been invaluable to the other volunteers. It's great to have people on the team who know enough to help the rest of us do something positive.
747 Director: Angela Wilson Mark Scott: 747 Project Leader
After a week of rain and wind God gave us fantastic weather for the Volunteer Celebration. Eating outside near the gardens made for a great environment.
I was heading to church to prepare for the weekend services when Mark Scott grabbed my camera and photographed me sharing a 747 moment with Madison Herman and Megan Wilson.

- Partner with other Suppliers and Contractors and donate materials, tools, supplies and services: Call Mark Scott @ 574-532-1745 or email [email protected].
- Participate: Every Saturday morning from 7:00 until Noon. Give your time and effort. Volunteers have already given more than 3,000 hours of labor!
You can get on mission and help our homeless vets feel honor again.
Job 29:7 - When I walked downtown and sat with my friends in the public square, young and old greeted me with respect; I was honored by everyone in town.
