As the Fall leaves explode with color I'm awestruck by God. If this vivid beauty is merely HIS creation, imagine the glory of the Creator! I'm amazed that some don't appreciate God, and though they may fear higher taxes or losing their cell phone, they do not fear the ONE who holds eternity in HIS hands.
Incredible.
I'm increasingly concerned about dull, flat lives lived without appreciation. The colorless existence of dimly lit days and shadowed nights is tragic. No one should have to live like that.
The good life is found in the light. It's the consequence of life lived in reverence, in full awareness that God is at work, and because of God's love we're invited to adjust our lives to join HIM and engage HIS mission. The good life isn't the easy life, but it is what comes with the full spectrum of God's light flooding the path we walk when we follow HIM on HIS mission.
You're invited to a deeper experience of God, and to the "good" life. We'll share it together this weekend at GCC. I'll see you there.
Ecclesiastes 8:12-13 - Even though a person sins and gets by with it hundreds of times throughout a long life, I'm still convinced that the good life is reserved for the person who fears God, who lives reverently in his presence, and that the evil person will not experience a "good" life. No matter how many days he lives, they'll all be as flat and colorless as a shadow—because he doesn't fear God.
