I've got good news and bad.
First the bad news.
A few of our brothers and sisters began the "Experiencing God" journey with us, but for one reason or another, they've been unable to continue. They started with us, but a small percentage of our fellow travelers may be unable to share the entire 12-week-experience of God this fall. I hate that, but I know it's still early in the course and no one needs to feel left out. Even if someone missed last week's steps, they can catch up this week and get right back on the path.
Now the good news.
We've never done a long-term course with such a high retention rate! Almost everyone who committed to share the "Experiencing God" journey is doing the daily work and participating in the weekly discussions. It's amazing! You're encouraging each other, supporting each other and praying for one another. The GSM kids have joined the journey. The on-line fellowship is up and running. We're sharing a great adventure together.
So I'm asking you to look around and see if you've got a friend who started with you, but they fell behind a little bit and now they feel like they can't catch up. With a word of encouragement they'll press forward. A phone call, an email or some short conversations could be all they need to stay the course for the next 2 months.
Let's love each other as we travel through the days ahead.
Remember: successfully doing the curriculum isn't the ultimate goal; experiencing God together is!
Colossians 2:2-3 - My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
