It's day three of Leaf Week on my blog. Which photo do you like best so far: #1 #2 or #3?
With the changing fall leaves, I'm making observations about the changing world in which we live.
Today's observation:
You're out of touch and out-of-date if you still tell your friends that the church should be like the Cheers bar "where everybody knows your name." Kids today don't remember the Cheers theme. Move on.
Luke 21:29-33 - He told them a story. "Look at a fig tree. Any tree for that matter. When the leaves begin to show, one look tells you that summer is right around the corner. The same here—when you see these things happen, you know God's kingdom is about here. Don't brush this off: I'm not just saying this for some future generation, but for this one, too—these things will happen. Sky and earth will wear out; my words won't wear out."
I like this one best so far, but I plan to vote again after all seven are posted. (:
I love these pictures--Seems that here in Florida the leaves on deciduous trees change from green to brown overnight and immediately fall off the trees into a crispy mound. Someone forgot to tell the trees here that the good part of the "losing your leaves" thing is the gorgeous colors that happen between lush green and crispy brown. Thanks for a window to your world!

So far #2 is my fav! Love the browns and golds in the fall! Great series on The Lord's Prayer! So awesome to really big into something that falls out of your mouth so freely and really understand what you're truly saying! LOVE IT!

I like week 2 the best. I don't care who knows my name but I do want everyone to know his name, Thank you's to our church for proclaiming him and his name.
Acts 28:31
He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!

So far this pic is my favorite because of the out-of-focus red leaves in the background. Makes the yellow really pop!

I agree with Amber! I love the fall colors but do you think God could turn up the heat a little?!
