Washed Up

I threw this shell back into the ocean. 

It washed up on shore during high tide but I tossed it into the deep, giving it a little more time to live. If I had not taken action, the hot sun would have made short work of it.

A little positive effort accomplishes more than its obvious result; it invigorates the soul. I shouldn't be surprised. We're made in the image of God so it feels "right" when we help the helpless, lift the fallen or rescue the perishing. 

And I'm not just talking about conch shells....

Proverbs 24:11  -  Rescue the perishing; don't hesitate to step in and help.
