Before sunrise I positioned my tripod high on the side of the mountain near St. Catherine's Monastery. As the sky turned pink behind the mountain casting its shadow on the monastery, I captured my first sunrise at Mt. Sinai.
A new day was dawning. I was about to experience life as I had never known it and I was amped. My excitement was hard to contain. I had no idea what God had in store for me, but I was ready.
Long before sunrise this morning, I looked through my file of pictures from Egypt and I realized the same is true for me today. A new day is dawning. I'm about to experience life as I've never known it and I'm amped. I've no idea what God has in store for me, but I'm ready.
God is giving me one more day. I'm grateful. I want to live it well.
Psalm 39:4-5
Show me, Lord, my life’s end
and the number of my days;
let me know how fleeting my life is.
You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Everyone is but a breath,
even those who seem secure.
