GCC's Lead Staff 3-Day-Training-Blitz is continuing and the afternoon conversation has turned to the topic of communication. Here's one of my own "takeaways" from our discussion of branding.
Your brand is your trustworthy promise on a delivered experience, so do your best to make sure all your "brand-handlers" (that's everyone who calls themselves a part of your organization or church) handle the brand with care. Kem Meyer says our mission is to reduce information obesity and simplify complexity.
Kem's right.
Real love doesn't say one thing and do another. Real love promises what it delivers. Don't manhandle the brand by promising one thing and then leaving people feeling something else. The ministry of the Church matters too much to let that happen.
Handle the brand with care.
1 Corinthians 13:8a - Love never fails.
