Great artists, worshipping with passion and sincerity, help me worship.
As they lead I'm able repent more thoroughly, confess more honestly, praise more exuberantly and commit more completely. What a privilege it was to follow our leaders during GCC's sacrament services this weekend!
Psalm 40:1-3
I waited patiently for the Lord.
He ·turned [bent down; inclined; stooped] to me and heard my cry.
He ·lifted [drew] me out of the pit of ·destruction [or desolation],
out of the ·sticky mud [miry/muddy pit/bog/swamp].
He ·stood me [placed my feet] on a rock
and made my ·feet [step] steady.
He put a new song [celebrating victory] in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many people will see this and ·worship [fear] him.
Then they will ·trust [find refuge in] the Lord.
Outstanding! These photos of our talented musicians just "pop" with the emotion and passion the band brings us every weekend.
My wife and I count ourselves lucky and blessed to see and hear praise as presented by the bands week after week.
I've been known to say of GCC: "We came for the music, stayed for the message" - That's as true today as it was a dozen or so years ago when we first came to GCC.
