338 Take a Stand

 

 

This turkey is taking a stand. He is sticking his neck out. He is facing down a threat. He will not be intimidated. He's done backing away. He will not yield. 

This weekend at GCC, 338 people took a stand. Those men and women stood to their feet in the midst of a worshipping crowd and accepted GOD's invitation to join HIM in HIS mission of redemption and restoration.

They received amazing grace. They prayed. They became disciples of Jesus, refusing to be intimidated by the seven deadly sins of Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Avarice, Gluttony or Lust. They became followers of the Risen Christ: empowered by HIS Spirit, determined to be informed by HIS Word and encouraged by the HIS Church - of which they are now a part.

Many will be baptized two weeks from now on Mother's Day Weekend.  
I couldn't be happier for them.

These are remarkable days!
