It's Day #2 of our 40 Day commitment to set our sails for the Wind of God.
The power to move is in the wind, not our sails. We know we must rig our sails to catch the wind; if we don't we won't experience its power.
Join thousands of GCC'ers for the month of July. We're deploying our sails (making space to experience GOD) each day.
- Between 4:00-5:00 PM - Invite GOD to fill you. Open that hour to receive GOD'S Love, Truth and Power. With GOD's help, live like Jesus for that hour.
- Eat nothing between 4:00-5:00 PM. Hunger only for the Bread of Life.
- At some convenient time during your day, thoughtfully read one chapter of Proverbs and pray. Feast on GOD's Word. If you can't do that between 4:00-5:00 PM, do it when you can.
Are your sails up?
Proverbs 2:20 - Follow the example of good people and live an honest life.
Pastor,
I wanted to encourage those who are in the same boat as me this morning not to give up because the messed up day 1. I set an alarm on my one computer and still totally forgot. So this morning I alarmed all my electronics (a desktop, laptop, Kindle and cellphone). And like Kramer of Seinfeld fame, I set a repeating mental alarm from 4 - 5.
Your sermon convicted me yesterday and I am grateful. Who knows how many marbles are left in my jar.
